Current recruitment processes lag behind the times. Finding and retaining talent is increasingly difficult. Hiring companies use a variety of job portals to advertise job openings in the hope of finding the right candidate. And candidates, many of them with inadequately qualifications and experience, apply to multiple jobs with the expectation that something will work out. A typical spray and pray approach on both sides. The result is long hiring cycles costing companies significant sums of money towards both the direct hiring expense and the much higher indirect productivity loss.
From my experience, hiring suffers from several challenges. First and foremost, good talent is in short supply. Added to that, the candidate selection process lacks objectivity and so is error prone causing repeat work. Lastly, recruiters lack the expertise to select the right candidates. This talent struggle will continue to worsen with the added complexity of new evolving technologies impacting every business function and requiring everchanging skills in candidates. The only way out of this logjam is to improve availability by nurturing more and better talent… by creating a mechanism for candidates to continuously rebuild their skills throughout their careers. Recruiters must up their game too.
Talent Junction is born out of the desire to tackle these recruitment challenges, using a three-step approach. First, helping candidates become future ready through continuous learning, assessments and mentorship. Second, making the recruitment process as objective as possible to enable a targeted approach. Finally, engaging expert recruiters with knowledge of the business function to create a better experience on both sides.
In a nutshell, nurture talent, enable an objective hiring process and provide outstanding experience. These are our goals.
